In response to "speaking of familial expectations (more p-word, sorry), we are seriously considering not notifying a soul when i go into labor" by kare

This goes very much against every Very Special Birth Episode of sitcom television I've ever seen.


But I guess I can understand the motivation. We had all mine and the wife's immediate family at the hospital on the big day, but she did a scheduled c-section, so there was no danger of being haggard in front of inlaws after a 30-hour labor or something.
