it does seem like she 'led you on', and you were obviously helping her with her ego/self esteem at a time when she was feeling rejected by her BF.

and, yes, that sucks and it hurts. but, at this point, pining or wanting to know 'why' doesn't change the place you are now. she was never in the same place you are (her own admission) and any more grieving at this point is just wasting your own time.
force yourself to have NO contact, zero, none, for a month. in that same time force yourself to get out of the house and keep busy. not online. out, in the world, distract yourself. it will help.
