I could live there but we're really trying to stay as close to $1200 as possible.

And that is going to be really hard. We really only want a one bedroom or studio but in a neighborhood where I won't have to worry about my gf walking home from the train station and where there is some good food shopping and fruit stands.
Rent is too much for me here.
