for the first time I feel like we have a place, of our own, where we can put stuff.

We don't have to make compromises as to price, it doesn't have to be completely useful, etc if we don't want to. We can acquire, at a reasonable pace and expense, things we like to have around us.

That too is a good feeling.

I've lived long enough with things that "will do" and it's nice to at least think about having things we really like. I love our dining room table. I mean like...we have a dinning room table? If we don't want to eat on the couch we actually have a place to sit down and eat a nice meal, facing one another where all of that is the sole activity.
