In response to "meanwhile, I feel the opposite..." by Mel Profit

i understand this completely

at some point in the future, we want to have some land, build the house ourselves, have a garage to work on cars... we will get things that make sense for the functionality of taking care of vehicles, home, and animals, but i think we'll still keep the random junk to a minimum... i agree it's best to spend a bit more on something you'll really like and use than to just get something for the short term.

the nice thing about cutting back is you consider your purchases more and have a bit more money to spend on nicer versions of what you've decided you need. i need a laptop... it's going to be really nice, since it's one of the few things i will have.
