Apparently the comic doesn't have Daryl, so it has that going against it.

It takes place in a world with no Romero movies, no zombies in pop culture, and one that reading into last night's episode developed a cure or vaccine for AIDS.

The doctor's daughter with the baseball bat was also Bela on Supernatural and Vivian Volkoff on Chuck. If I made the connection between those two parts, I had forgotten.
