further cancer tests at the hospital, so, obviously, is not here. so, i was handling everything. no biggie, it was busy but nothing unhandleable. (really, compared to my old job this whole thing is a cakewalk).
anyway, the *new guy* with the annoying laugh, who has been pissing off everyone by being condescending, just said to me 'good job today, things were getting pretty wild here for a while' (this is in respect to him walking by my desk at one point and 3 of the 4 owners were asking different questions, but it wasn't really a thing.) i just sort of looked at him and said 'well, that happens.' then he nodded and said "good job" again. i want to smack him.
(an example of him annoying people - he was hired to assist the owner with their investment portfolio. before him, one of the owners headed a committee and the transactions were handled by our controller. it was getting to be a full time job which needed just a dedicated person, so he was hired. the controller, who has been here for 25 years, wants to kill him. he walked into her office last week and grabbed a big stocks reference book - which is hers - off her desk. when she said "hey, that's mine, you should at least ask". Guess what he said? GUESS! He said "do you even know what it's for?"
he's all of 28. he's lucky she didn't kill him.
