would a nice letter be considered a direct request? my only suggestion - figure out how you want to do it and make it a one time shot

cause clearly he should have done it months ago - is it going to cause a bigger riff if you keep asking for it?
if this were me, I'd be mucho upset about the slight. I really would. I'd be livid about it in fact.
