1984 - Tigers won & the reason it was so special for me was seeing my 94 year old Grandmother cheer them on and literally be in tears when they won.

She died in December that year - just shy of her birthday (and mine - we shared our B-day 12/12) - it was just really memorable for me for that reason - not so much the game or series.
