idea though, we have natural maple cabinets going in so we are choosing a robust color in a orange/reddish clay tone for the walls. There isn't much wall space in the kitchen to cover but because we took out the wall between the kitchen and family room, that color needs to extend throughout. Therefore we decided, at the far end of the family room, to compliment this clay color with a kind of yellow as an accent wall. Not a bright yellow but a deeper one.

I think the actual swatches do a much better job than this site (or my monitor) are doing.
