they have no money for an office or an apt for them to live in while they sell it.
that is part of the creative aspect I do enjoy of the story telling - everything and everyone is conspiring against them to keep them in the house.

the burned guy who killed someone who is now under the gazebo ( another reason for dr. to stay)
