It's also pretty obvious that the "attention" isn't appreciated and the "admiration" is unwanted.

Look, just nut up and be a man, apologize once, then stop it. You've been acting like a dick and you don't have to. That kind of behavior really isn't going to gain you male admiration and have females swooning at your feet. Just be your regular self and you'll be just fine.

p.s. Believe it or not I'm not trying to be mean by saying this to you. I have several very dear male friends and if necessary, I talk to them the same way.
