Ryan Murphy adding a gay "promiscuous villian" to Glee. Doomed to be another stereotype. -- (link)

Ryan Murphy is horrible at developing gay characters.

Hmm. I can not seem to recall a lot of gay promiscuous villian types. -- nm

He's going to be the "slutty gay" on the show that tries to break up relationships. The quote inside says it all from a former Glee star.

Very much this. And that extends to much of television, of course. We might say we hate cliched characters, but we so gobble them up. -- nm

Yeah, I tend to agree. Pretty much all of the characters on Queer as Folk started out as cliches but then transended that as the series was developed. -- nm

it's when you use them to avoid good storytelling, rather than make good storytelling, that they become a problem. -- nm
