So I was with an (external) temp agency for the first 6 months. Last month, my boss says "we want to bring you over to Chase's temp company; it'll be easier to convert you to a perm position when I can." So I start the process of moving over to the new temp company (drug test, fingerprinting, etc.), and call the old temp company that January 4 will be my last day, because I"m starting with the new temp agency on the 5th.
Never really heard anything more from the new temp agency, and then I started asking the woman that coordinates the hiring process in our group. She starts digging and the guy I was dealing with went on medical leave. yada yada yada, I'm still not in their system. So today, I finally talk to someone and they're going to put me in the system tomorrow, and cut me a check at the end of the month for Jan 5 - 16.
Cool.
THEN 10 minutes later I get a call from the old temp agency. Seems the new temp agency called them this morning and said "we don't have the funds to take him on right now, can you put him back on your payroll until Jan 23rd?"
So apparently they jump through hoops to get that approved, and she calls me to tell me I'm back on their system.
And now we can't get in touch with the new temp rep again.
W. T. F. ?????
