All three of our cats are rescues.

And my wife's moms are heavily involved with the local rescue, feed the local feral colony, and do a lot of trap-neuter/spay-releases in their area.
I just don't understand how anyone can be so blasé about killing animals who are only in that position because of the stupidity, ignorance and/or neglect of people.
