earning money isn't the primary consideration, often because they'll already have plenty. have the ability to have a conversation with their parents like, "mom, dad? is it imperative that i earn money after graduation? because i'd like to go here." "nah, buddy, it's cool, we have plenty of that money stuff already."

not everyone. but in general.
