I would have angled every way possible to split the vote. If that failed, I would have considered an attempt to draw fire to me because the two people who participate in a tie are the ones who are safe when rocks are drawn.
Rewinding to an earlier moment, I would have taken more of an interest in the woman competing at Redemption Island. The part of Ozzy's move I never understood was the assumption that she would go back loyally to her own tribe. Even though they were furious at Cochran, I am not certain they gave their best effort in that challenge because Ozzy's plan was kicking in the back of their heads.
I know you want a definitive answer to this but I consider the entire situation lazy. What one tribe did was find the weakest link and negotiated to get that player to swap. What the other tribe did was attempt innumerable machinations to avoid a tie but once they reached that point, they just said, "Is everybody solid?" and dropped it. That's inexcusable.
Were I placed in a situation where my only two choices were drawing rocks with a 1 in 9 chance of Redemption Island or flipping on my alliance, I would pick the former. Prior to the existence of Redemption Island, that would have been a more difficult decision, but I see it as a no-brainer now. So, you can tell Carrie I think she's right.
