That's why Cochran shouldn't have flipped. You'd think a Harvard graduate would understand basic laws of probability. Having said that, when the pot dealer said, "Okay, now I'm worried", they should have at least considered protecting Cochran. The problems were two-fold. The first is that they don't really like the kid. Ozzy's smile after the betrayal bordered on, "This justifies every time I have ever bullied anyone in my life." The second is that they didn't fully appreciate how treacherous and self-centered he was until that moment.
The odd part of the situation is that in one key way, Ozzy and Cochran are a lot alike. Ozzy found semi-celebrity during his first season and has been coasting off of it ever since. I believe part of the reason he is back on the show is to get a new group of female viewers as potential members of his harem. Cochran wants to be something rather than nothing and he is using his run on Survivor to boost his self-esteem. I fully expect this to be like ELR in that I am certain he will come back and he will spend a lot of time talking about how much smarter he was than other players even though he has played a moronic game to date. He had that Sarah Palin look when he was stroking the idol, as if that brief moment of "power" justified everything about his life.
I had to look up the dude's name because I had already forgotten, but he is a clone of Sash. He wants to be viewed as a mastermind and a manipulator. He's just not good enough to be either of those things.
