not anymore. when i had health care back in maryland (ha), they were our provider. they were generally good but that was over five years ago

All I know is that they are part of WellPoint (for-profit) whereas Empire was NFP. Not sure if/how that makes a different (good or bad).

That focuses on hospitals more than payers, but I think a lack of shareholders is not an inconsequential difference. -- nm
