We just watched the new animated Batman Year One movie. Wow. You can tell it's a Frank Miller version. (no spoils)

The storyline is really dark. I felt like I was immersed in a graphic novel. Also, the Catwoman (Eliza Dushku!)short that's included could have gotten an R rating. This is probably the best of the more adult DC cartoons I've seen. I give it an A+.

There's also a sneak peek of the new Justice League: Doom. They got a lot of the old voice talent--Carl Lumbly, Joanna Isenberg, Michael Rosenbaum, Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly--and added some new. I really liked Nathan Fillian as Green Lantern. The other short is called Heart of Vengence: Returning Batman to His Roots. It's funny seeing him in a hot pink batsuit back in the '70s.

For hardcore fans, this is a buy. It doesn't have any sissy stuff, it's Frank "I'm the god damn Batman" Miller. If you aren't that hardcore, it's definately worth a download or a rental. I give it 5 battarangs.
