Cap was fun but ultimately it was a bit too much Rocketeer than Raiders for me. It was easily forgettable.
Planet of the Apes was fun, raised some interesting questions but required a combination of some very ignorant people...How does a super duper pharma lab not know one of their test subjects is pregnant? The logic flaws just piled up from there. How does no one bug out when it's discovered that the scientist kept the baby chimp for 5 years. How then does the chimp essentially only get sent to chimp juevi? How does the medical team not do a full work up on a human accidentally exposed to an experimental aerosol during animal trials (I'll give them that one but by then I wasn't ready to give the script much leeway).
Ironically, the stuff we bagged on it for being silly, the battle on the bridge, actually made the most sense. And how they'd take over the planet also made sense. The last 20mins was good but how they got there was pretty labored.
