Is that unique to college football? Doesn't whistle-blowing often lead to a break from the organization?

I'm not excusing, but I'm not sure we can pin this just on college football. It's the moral dilemma of the whistle-blower: Do you do the right thing knowing it will likely end your job while you have no certainty that "justice" will occur?
