But seriously, I wouldn't exactly describe Bale as "Replaceable", but there are people waiting in the wings who could carry off the character. I do think he does a very good job at it.

And fuck yes, TDK would be boring without the Joker. I'm going to be wary of the next film in the series, because without Ledger's joker, it may fumble and end on a note similar to Batman Begins (monorail? monorail! mono! d'oh).

As far as other characters, though, I really dig Caine as Alfred and Freeman as Fox and Oldman as Gordon. *VERY* well-played, all of them.
