Discussion Scenario for Parents and Non-Parents of ST heard last night on a radio talk show.....
|
An 18 year Ontario girl is wanting graduating High school this year. She wants to go to University in Victoria BC and persue something in Astronomy. Her parents who are paying for up to 70% of her tuition want her to stay in Ontario and "persue a career that helps her get a high paying job." The parents do not feel that astonomy is a career. The parents sent a letter to the radio show to get feedback on a proper course of action.
The talk show was obviously talking about which side is "right." I would be interested in here other opnion so I can solidify mine.

First, they're wrong. If she's good at it I think it would be a good job. Second, if they don't change their mind, she should just leave and do what
