I see this all the time with my wife. She has a coworker that she had issues with. She has a near impossible time seeing anything this person does in anything but the worst light. Perhaps the rest of us aren't ignoring it, just not seeing everything done through the lens of a past wrong that most likely this person is hardly aware of (other than from the incident the other day) other than being actively hated.
