Best Movies (fiction or documentary) about Music? (This is Thanksgiving relevant, trust me.)

Last year at this time someone shared a link to The Band doing "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" during their Last Waltz concert, the documentary about which was directed by Martin Scorsese.

Now, I had heard the song before, but for whatever reason, it really struck me and I went out that day and bought the "Last Waltz" documentary on DVD.

I didn't know this at the time, but the Last Waltz was performed on Thanksgiving Day, 1976, so this is all very topical you see.

I think the Last Waltz is a brilliant movie about music, but not my favorite.

That would have to be "Almost Famous."
