as i understand it, it is determined by BCS rankings if LSU, Arkansa, and Alabama end up in a three-way tie

LSU has to lose and Alabam has to win. Then, Alabama will have beaten Arkansas who will have beaten LSU who will have beaten Alabama. -- nm

No, because then LSU and Arkansas would likely finish 1/2 in the BCS.

And even if LSU loses, voters should probably not drop them very far...it's very argualbe they've got the best resume of the 1-loss teams
