I think my professor said something about avoiding putting too many quotes too close together, but given the circumstances of my paper, there's at least one spot where it's almost unavoidable to cite 2 to 3 things in the same paragraph. To separate them might result in a butt load of BS filler to 'create' a new paragraph to accommodate the rapid fire citations.
