the temperature changes (freezing twice) is what causes bacteria to grow, the reasoning was.
i sort of figured once it was cooked it didn't really matter. anyone know off the top of their heads?

A. cooking resets the clock on the bacteria party b. freezing doesn't promote bac. growth, but the process of ice crystals forming breaks cellular..

you can not defrost then refreeze. You can defrost, cook and refreeze -- nm

you can't freeze, unfreeze, then refreeze, but i think refreezing after you cook is no biggie. -- nm

Once cooked you can freeze it. You should thaw and then re-freeze uncooked meat (or poultry or fish). -- nm

i don't know. but my uncle, who had to take a class in food management, said that you're not supposed to reheat something more than once.
