Religious people or other people who might know: Is there a specific religious reason why someone is not allowed to be buried on a Sunday????

I just came across a city by-law that says "No interment may take place on a Sunday, Good Friday or Christmas Day, unless the interment is required to be conducted within 24 hours of death in accordance with any policies or regulations of the Ontario Ministry of Health or religious practice."

I assume its some Christian reason, but I have never heard of it before. Any thoughts?
