Flowers are a thought, and may be the way I go, but they are so pricey.

Card would never arrive in time.

call a local-to-her florist directly (any one will do), tell them what you want to spend. far far less than an FTD type arrangement. -- nm

Flowers might be tricky if she's going away for the weekend. Even if they're delivered tomorrow she'd be away while they were fresh. -- nm
