Stephen, Food Feuds was pretty much a ripoff of Food Wars (from Travel Channel).

They even went to some of the same places. Food Feuds did Chicago Italian beef in the pilot, Food Wars did it episode 2. They disagreed on the winner, though.
Food Wars only did one battle per episode, and went more into how the rivalries started. They were also judged by a panel of locals, including a fan of each place. And the host wasn't a chef, but Camille Ford (aspiring actress?).
It is worth noting that Food Wars had Pat's vs Tony Luke's in the Philly cheesesteak episode. I think they originally wanted Geno's, but then Geno's dropped out. I might be wrong on that, though.
