No seriously, bear with me here.
Normally quartz is clear or white, right? But you mix in traces of other elements, and suddenly you have pink quartz, purple quartz, yellow quartz, brown quartz etc. They may have additional, fancier names, but they all still fall under the heading of 'quartz', which is itself a subset of the group 'minerals'.
It's the same with sandwiches. The grilled cheese is a subset of that group. Add traces of other ingredients like bacon, and you still have a grilled cheese sandwich, just a fancier (and tastier!) one.
