On the other hand, it's subject to change if the meat is just an embellishment on the dish, rather than a fundamental component.

If you put bacon bits on a baked potato, you don't call it 'bacon bits with baked potato'. So the question is, when bacon's added to a pre-existing dish, where do you draw the line between main ingredient and flavorful accent?
