He and David Boreanaz are best friends "in real life" and have been for years. Before either got married, they were roommates and struggling actors in LA. They both have black belts in seveal different martial arts disciplines and both of them owe their "big breaks" to Joss Whedon. :)
Ok, I'm not really stalkerish, but you have to learn as much as possible about a tv boyfriend or else it doesn't count.
