Let's all come together and unite by mocking this idea of mine. I call it the Kobiashi Maru of presidential campaigning.

Once the primaries are over, every week the main two (three?) candidates get a half hour of time on network TV (or maybe just live on the internet) to sit behind a rough facsimile of the White House desk and talk about whatever they want.

But on one of those sessions, a red phone pops up and starts ringing with big trouble on the other end. A group of advisers enters the room and starts firing questions and offering competing solutions. The half-hour time frame has just expanded to three hours. Stress test! Live!
