The use of voice recognition software by government offices is one of the most evil things ever!!!
|
One of the main provincial government offices we deal with has dropped most of their local numbers and made one province wide number as the main point of contact. They use Voice recognition software as the way to contact the appropriate section of the department. In my past experience, that software is bad for picking up certain accents and assumes the person calling knows what they are even looking for. I called and it even messed up one of my voice requests and my accent is really flat. You can zero out to get a real person but it does not tell you that you can in the instructions.
I see lots of complaints for this department.
