As I said at the time and Jim reiterated during the live postgame show, Cochran was nowhere near as focused on winning Survivor as he was about making a lasting impression, good or bad. His naivete crushed six players at once. Jim didn't make a big move before then because there had been no need to do so. Cochran made a "big move" but a truly moronic one. In making it, he eliminated any chance he had of winning Survivor. He alienated 6 potential jury members at once. It was the breathing definition of incompetent.
