I understand wanting to increase the social aspect... but that homepage looks like the opposite of that. Nothing on it hooks me at all.

it looks like some kind of generic entertainment site. no clear explanation of what it is about. and yes, I see a teeny little link that says "what is HSX?", but I didn't see it at first. and if the new user isn't hooked on the page in about 5 seconds, they're not going to keep looking to find out. I don't see any indication that this is a fun community to join. All I see is generic news, plus a lot of stuff that makes no sense to a new person.
