so, I was just having lunch at Wendy's...interesting interaction after my order was messed up ...
|
I ordered a single w/ cheese, no pickles, onions, tomato, lettuce...after I got my order and sat down, I noticed a pickle sticking out... but the girl who took my order was already on her way over with a newly made burger as ordered. She's all apologies and stuff but said that I could keep the first burger... as she put it, "you can take it home to your wife if you want."
Now, I'm single, but she didn't know ... and i just accepted the offer, thinking that good old pacrat's gonna have an extra burger later on. I just couldn't tell her that I was single and all....
of course, now I'm wondering, did she say that just to try to feel things out and see if I was in fact married or not... probably just my own crazy thinking right? and delusional to think that she's trying to passive-aggresive find out if I'm single or not .. right?

Are you over the age of 30? if yes, she thought it was more likely you had a wife than not.

This has happened to me a couple times. I think it's a clever way to find out if you're available.

The only reasonable interpretation is that Miss Wendy wanted to be tied to you in holy matrimony. -- nm

It's a trap! You only come out looking either like a pig because you're eating two burgers or wasteful for throwing it away uneaten -- nm
