I think they gotta go outside the program; right now, JoePa and PennState are toxic names...

is it a prestige job, in theory...maybe, it has been 45 years since they had an opening...maybe not.
IMO Penn State has to go outside the family for this becuase anyone up through 1999 has Sandusky-taint and since then, it's cover-up taint (at least in theory); of course, to do that means they gotta get somebody who'll sit there and objectively look at the fact that how are you going to sit in a room with parents and tell them you and the school are going to protect their child.
It's probably the toughest hire in modern college big-time.
