I keep seeing you people mention Borderlands and Mass Effect 2 in comparison to Skyrim, but

Those two games are very different to me. (I love Borderlands and found Mass Effect boring.) Borderlands was more of a shooter, while ME2 was a lot of interaction/talking.

i think, while they are wildly different games, the central core of a quest driven game, that allows you to (to some degree) choose your own path is
