I was pondering our debate yesterday on Sweeney......

you had mentioned that he had 17 homers in his career before coming to Boston.....

Ellsbury had career homers at 20 coming into this season (2 full time seasons of 9 and 8 IIRC), he hit 32. Ellsbury is 28, which is 2 years older than Sweeney.

I am not saying Sweeney is going to hit 32, but using that logic does not really work anymore with # of homers up until "x" point.

I think, if he plays almost full time, that you will be very happy with the "throw in" player you got in the Bailey deal, and when Bailey gets injured, you will not be that upset with the deal.
