You do get interest. But I usually give my interest back to KIVA for operating costs

I think I have made $10 worth of interest in 2 years

? It is my understanding that Kiva lenders do not get interest. The field partners get interest, but it doesn't trickle up to us. {nm}

Have you made more than 1 loan? If you make 4 Kiva loans, after a few months, you would have enough repaid to make another, so you might have loaned

I'm not asking because I'm interested in profit. It simply struck me as a really sweet deal for the local banks.

Yeah, that was my sticking point for the longest time. We get nothing out of it, and the field partners get 20-35% on the money they lend. Kinda sketc
