i have a computer memory question. is it better to have 2 4gb sticks from the same manufactuer

or mix original 2 2gb sticks with 2 new gb sticks?

Manufacturer really isn't an issue. But mixing sticks means that the pair will run only as fast as the slowest DIMM. -- nm

i believe the max on this desktop is 8gb, but i could be wrong, the specs have already lied about the memory speed
