okay, some quick thoughts from the earlier posts on Highlander tv vs. movies.... (spoilerish stuff inside for those who haven't seen all the movies)

any movie after the 1st really was abominable ... at least the 3rd one (I think... it was the one with Mario Van Peebles as the bad guy) tried to make some sense of consistancy and plot continuity... made at least a little sense and possibility as a continuance from the 1st movie in saying that Mac and Brenda were in a car accident "not too long after the end of the 1st movie" and she died, but he walked away without a scratch, and Mac's thoughts on how he thought the Kurgan was the last of the other immortals ... the other movies though? never should have happened ...

as for the tv series.... I never really got into a lot of the series, but at least the show's creators and all later admitted that the tv series basically 'happened in an alternate universe' situation ....

but then, I guess I'm something of a purist ... the tv series should have taken place 'some time in the past', i.e. before the end of the first movie, and the Highlander movie where Connor sacrifices himself so that Cousin Mac could become stronger and kill the bad guy of the moment? never should have happened. Connor was always sort of meant to be "the one" ... and that last highlander movie about the "quickening" and all,,, god what a horrid wretched waste of an hour and a half or two...again never should have happened.

that is all .... now discuss amongst yourselves
