okay, ST ... a bit of an oddball question perhaps ... but here goes, ... if there were a total loss of electricity, say for example the power grid ...

goes down and there's no one around to maintain it ... the internet is "still out there and up and running", right? like, if the only electricity someone had was from a generator, and they used it to power up a computer, they could still access the internet couldn't they? or is it a matter of the databases or what not being up and running as well?

to get to the internet and cloud, you need networking stuff (routers etc). if those have Aux power, they run. if not, they don't. -- nm
