especially when the pitching market gets this thin. There's Oswalt, Kiroda, and then Maholm, and then...?

Someone is going to feel stuck and consider overpaying for Garza.
I'm frankly surprised the Sox are even contemplating Garza; I think Oswalt is a near ideal solution for their rotation on a one-year deal (which he has said he would prefer).
