Yeah, it's dumb, and it's for no other reason than to get some publicity.

He may be a Top 100 recruit, but this doesn't speak well to whether he'd fit into the ND program.
That being said, from what i've been following (on twitter), those following this story say they wouldn't be surprised if the names on both slips of paper are ND.
