unusual for overseas orders. Then it got crazy...all we had for the forwarder was an email address. The response and quote came from an address in England. Still no alarm bells - until the forwarder asked us to prepay the $1,500 shipping charges by Western Union!!! When we suggested to the customer that we might get quotes from Fedex or DHL he was adamant that we use *his* carrier. We canceled the order.
I figure we'd have sent the payment and that's the last we'd have heard from either of them. The customer was using a yahoo address, and the carrier was on gmail. I google the phone number we were given and it showed up on a list of suspected British telemarketers!
No harm/no foul - but we will probably be running a special on the green frog products we'd already produced for his order :/
